Aerosmith has canceled two shows of its Las Vegas residency as frontman Steven Tyler deals with health issues.

"It is with great disappointment that we are forced to cancel tonight's show in Las Vegas due to Steven feeling unwell and unable to perform," the band said in a statement issued Friday.

The band assured fans that Tyler would be ready to perform at the next scheduled show on Monday, but in a follow up Tyler said the Monday show would also be cancelled.

"On the advice of my doctor, I'm taking more time to rest... there is nowhere we'd rather be than on stage surrounded by the greatest fans in the world."

Fans should expect refunds at the point of purchase, the band added.

Aerosmith has two more shows in its 'Deuces Are Wild' residency on its schedule this year, Dec. 8 and Dec. 11.

The current run was intended for this past summer but was moved to the fall after Tyler check himself into rehab in May.

Aerosmith has been celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. While the 'Deuces Are Wild' residency has been a success, it has not been without complications. Before Tyler informed the band last spring that he was heading to rehab, drummer Joey Kramer confirmed he would be taking a hiatus from the band this year.

Kramer missed most of Aerosmith's shows at its initial 'Deuces Are Wild' run due to a shoulder injury. He was then temporarily held back from returning pending an audition to prove he was physically ready.
