AC/DC Unveils Music Video For 'Shot In The Dark' Single

If AC/DC finally announcing its new album, PWR/UP, due out November 13, didn't put a smile on your face, watching the reformed band play together again certainly will.

The iconic Australian rock band dropped the music video for its latest single, "Shot in the Dark," on Monday morning.

In typical AC/DC-fashion, the video is a simple, to-the-point celebration of all that is loud. It depicts the reformed band of Angus Young, Stevie Young, Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd and Brian Johnson performing the hard-rocking new song on a bright red neon-lit stage.

The music video arrives a little over two weeks after the band first dropped "Shot in the Dark."

The forthcoming 17th studio album, PWR/UP, was one of rock's best-known secrets for the past two years, since the band was spotted at a recording studio in Vancouver in the summer of 2018.

While rumors about the album circulated for years, the band kept mum about the whole thing, finally confirming it in late-September.

Angus told Q104.3 New York earlier this month that the album was initially slated to arrive this past spring but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. He said the band eventually settled on a fall release to "hopefully boost everyone's spirits."

PWR/UP is also a tribute to Angus' older brother, Stevie's uncle and late-AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young, who passed away in 2017. Much of the music on the album was developed from old song ideas recorded by Malcolm, and the guitarist is credited as a writer on every track.
