Along with the 50th anniversary deluxe remastered edition of The Beatles' Abbey Road, one of the band's signature songs is getting a music video.
The new stereo mix of the George Harrison-penned song "Here Comes the Sun" will be set to a video of the sunrise illuminating the historic Abbey Road studio No. 2 where most of Abbey Road was recorded.
"The video's sun centerpiece was filmed as it was meticulously crafted on-set in Abbey Road Studio Two," said a press release, announcing the Friday, September 27, release of the video.
The "Here Comes the Sun" video will also feature photos from the The Beatles' Apple Corps archive, including footage shot by Linda McCartney herself.
A teaser clip, which you can watch below, depicts artifacts from Beatle history, including Harrison's famous rosewood Fender Telecaster, Paul McCartney's Hofner bass and a piece of paper with the Harrison's handwritten lyrics.
The video is set to premiere at noon Eastern Time on Friday.
The 50th anniversary edition of Abbey Road features new stereo mixes of all 17 tracks done by Giles Martin, the son of late-Beatles producer George Martin.
It was long-accepted that The Beatles decided to break up before recording Abbey Road, but that understanding is being reevaluated after the world's foremost Beatles biographer, Mark Lewisohn, unearthed a tape from a meeting between McCartney, Harrison and John Lennon, in which the three discussed plans for their next album. The tape was recorded weeks before Abbey Road's release and for the benefit of drummer Ringo Starr, who was ill at the time.
Among the talking points was Lennon's suggestion that Harrison get as many song on the new record as himself and McCartney.
